LED Light sheet in Soft flim ceiling design
As We known, luminescent soft films are not easy to simulate in many many situlation and calculation software. The reason is software cannot calculate the scattering of materials. For example, in DIALux evo, if we simulate according to the structure of the luminous soft film, we will find that all materials cannot achieve high transmission and scattering, and can only achieve ordinary transmission. Just like the soft film with blue sky and white clouds in the picture how do we design this ?
We can use a flat led light sheet 4000k 28w, change its size to the size of the soft film, and export the IES Files of our 28w 490x245mm 4000K Sheet lighs as built into light source of the soft film to perform calculation simulations.
The principle is that after the light source passes through a conventional uniform scattering film, the light distribution will become a spherical Lambertian body. Take the soft membrane in the picture above as an example. The size of the circular soft membrane is a circle with a diameter of 3 meters, and the depth of the inner cavity of the soft membrane is 15 centimeters. According to the principle that the distance is smaller than the depth, we estimate that a lamp of approximately 10pcs of rgbw light sheet will be used. Based on the calculation of Sheet light 28w for light colors and luminous efficiency of 130lm/W, the luminous flux is approximately 36400lm. However, we have to consider the transmittance of the soft film and the light loss caused by the depth of the inner cavity. We take approximately 50% of the luminous flux, that is The final luminous flux of light is approximately 1820lm, and the new light distribution based on size of soft flim and lumen flux our led sheet backlight as below
and we export into dialux evo and do simulation and caculation
and we got very good result–The illumination on the desktop is at 760lx
What if the light film needs to change color? we have two solutions
1. use our rgbw or rgbw spi led sheet light
2. We can add a color filter directly to the sheet light in the software– and this is what we do simulation in this case.
Don’t forget what we need is a blue sky soft flim, just add a blue sky filters and adjust transparency and we will get we we wantted
